In order to facilitate Buccaneer Brew Crew tailgates, we have established the following procedures. SIMPLY: Rules and regulations for compliance with "The State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco" requirements have necessitated immediate action on our part, therefore, the Buccaneer Brew Crew tailgates are now completely "PRIVATE EVENTS" amplified as described below.
All participants must join the Buccaneer Brew Crew as an "Associate Member". In addition, we must collect money for each tailgate in advance, if at all possible, through this website and not on the property where the tailgate is located.
It's mandatory to fill out an application in advance and each Associate Member must be sponsored by a "Primary Member", specifically Scott Williams, Wally Switzer, Alan Smith, Kenny Bowen, Tommy McCurdy, Ty Mathis or Orie Grecco.
Once you become an Associate Member, you can personally sponsor other individuals as Associate Members with the approval of one of the Primary Members, in this case Wally Switzer will handle the brunt of Memberships as Vice President for the Buccaneer Brew Crew. All Associate Memberships can be terminated by the Buccaneer Brew Crew at any time and for any reason. Termination will not be unreasonably invoked. There will be a list of requirements published soon that further defines appropriate conditions and behavior to maintain membership.
Another privilege of being either a Primary or Associate Member is to bring a guest using a Buccaneer Brew Crew Guest Pass. The Guest Pass is designed to bring a guest who is visiting from out-of-town and wouldn't normally be attending our tailgates on a regular basis. Guests cannot attend a tailgate without being accompanied by an Associate or Primary member.
Registration is accomplished by filling out the Buccaneer Brew Crew Associate Membership Application which is on this website. Once you have downloaded the Application, please email it to us or mail it to the address on the Application using the United States Postal Service or FAX it to (813) 908-0977.
The key issue is that we have to become a completely Private Membership holding completely private tailgates. The only way to accomplish this and stay within guidelines set forth for consumption of alcohol on private property established by the State of Florida is to have permanent members and private activities for those members which are not available to the public.
It is important to note that you become an Associate Member for Life for only $5.00. After that you can bring guests as outlined above. The first game a new member attends costs $5.00 for the membership and $10.00 towards entry to the private event for a total of $15.00. After that it is $15.00 per tailgate as a single or $12.00 per tailgate if you buy a block pass for 10 which is $120.00. Passes can be used for guests as well if they are accompanied by an Associate or Primary Member.
Finally, no one is allowed to consume alcoholic beverages unless they are 21 years old or older. Each tailgate participant who is 21 years old or older is issued a specific wristband upon entry to the tailgate site and must have a valid ID or driver's license available as proof of age. Only those with the proof of age and the specific wristband are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages. For those under 21 years of age there are sodas and water provided for drinks. These individuals will have a stamp on their hand and no wristband.
It's imperative that we self-regulate ourselves so that we can all enjoy the tailgate and comply with State of Florida, Hillsborough County and City of Tampa rules and regulations.
